While the fans are almost convinced that butterflies are the inspiration behind Kylie Jenner’s daughter’s name, the 20-year old star admits that she is actually terrified of flying insects!
Kylie Jenner gave birth to an adorable baby girl and named her Stormi Webster. And loyal fans are convinced that she picked the name because of her obsession with butterflies.
This seems like a confusing connection at first. However, Kylie wore a thick butterfly necklace in one of her videos. Also, she has the insect tattooed on her ankle.
Regardless of these blatant markers, the new mom says she’s actually really scared of the insects!
Back in September, Kylie admitted to E! that she hates the flying creatures so much that she does not like to go near them.
She shared an adolescent clip from her childhood on her show, Life of Kylie.
In the clip, she can be seen taking a trip to the zoo with her best friend Jordyn Woods and assistant Victoria Villarroel.
The trio end up in the London Zoo’s busy butterfly exhibit in which Kylie reveals that she’s petrified of the insects.
The superstar gave a heart-rending confessional interview in which she further discussed the subject.
“Butterflies are just a part of the secrets of Kylie,” she explained.
“It’s kind of just ironic because I’m terrified, terrified of butterflies. All butterflies.” she continued.
Keeping this fact in mind, it would be ludicrous to think that Kylie would name her child after any sort of butterflies.
She added, “This is how I think of them, cut the wings off and if you just look at their bodies, they’re not that pretty. It’s literally a bug.”
However, fans have not given up on their quest to understand Stormi’s moniker.
The butterfly conclusion was an easy one, since Kylie not only showed off her necklace and tattoo, but also wore a shiny pink diamond ring shaped like a butterfly.
To top it off, Kylie received butterfly-themed bling for her birthday. Brother in law Scott gifted her extravagant items. She got a gold choker-style necklace embellished with five diamond rich butterflies and two mega-carat diamonds on both sides of a large blue butterfly.
Even her boyfriend Travis Scott’s most popular track is called ‘Butterfly Effect’. Talk about hints!
All these hints caused fans to point out the chaos theory. The idea is that a butterfly flapping its wings can create a powerful storm somewhere else.
However, Kylie addressed the issue firmly and pointed out that there was no connection.
